One of the strongest testimonies to me of the truthfulness of the Gospel is the faith of the Church leaders.
They are not there because they seek power or influence, but because of a love for God and for the people they serve. This willingness to sacrifice and put God Forth is present at every level of the Church.
Can one sincerely watch General Conference and think that these men, while preaching about Christ, becoming better, and doing good, would secretly be hiding history and manipulating minds?
It’s the same at the local level. Having been in Bishopric and Stake Presidency meetings, I can testify that our bishop and stake president would rather do almost any other calling in the Church than what they do right now. Yet they still serve because they believe they have been called, they love those they lead, and they know the gospel is true.
